"As a black woman living in America, I’ve come to be a target of inequality. Yet, I know that this does not have to be a fact for the rest of my life. Creating art has been an expressive outlet for me since I was six years old. I have been able to use various mediums to share my life, thoughts and feelings. As I have gained knowledge, connections and values my art is finally at a point where I am proud to say “that piece is mine”. One of the most important things I have learned in life is that we all see the world differently. The best evidence to that is art work. I want to share my world with all types of individuals and show the value that is inside all of us."
